Tom Tomorrow is a political cartoonist who does satirical comics. They are very text heavy, and not so fun to read....
Welcome to the New World - documents the story of a family of Syrian immigrants, and won a Pulitzer for cartooning. Again, it's more of a normal comic as opposed to editorial thing.
Interestingly, looking through some of the other winners .... despite many saying "bold artistic style" and "originality" I can barely tell their art style apart, it's all exactly the same stereotypical political cartoon style. sometimes it works but it tends to not always be that interesting
